Powder brown disappeared

As it says, had a powder brown in the tank,Was looking a little stressed with ich but was eating like a horse. Tank is just 6 weeks old in my place but was just a move so everything was established. This morning I was looking for him and he's gone. Not in the sump, overflow, tank, floor, glass crossbars, no where. The fish was about 3 in, is there anyway he could have died and been eaten in less than 7 hrs? I have a few snails, a cb shrimp, and a few hermits. All the sand was new from the move 6 weeks ago. It's just really odd that a large Fish vanished with no trace.

Sorry to hear. I actually experienced something similar to this many years ago. I ended up finding it behind the rocks being eaten by crabs etc. It sounds like thats what is happening to you.

Look between rocks. It would take a few days to have a few crabs eat it. watch for ammonia spike or any nasty bacteria bloom. Sorry to hear that.
