Powder Brown Tang, spots and lump

My powder brown tang has black blotches on both of his sides and he has a lump behind his fin on the left side. He is a really active swimmer, he hasn't ate anything since I got him 2 weeks ago, except algae clips. Any ideas?

It could be a bacterial infection. Did you net the fish shortly before the symptoms began? I might use some nitrofurazone in a Qtank or maybe some Maracyn-Two. I would start with a large water change using well aged and aerated saltwater. Try feeding the fish some frozen spirulina and frozen Forumula-Two. I would also add some Pacifica plankton and mysid shrimp. How long have you been keeping saltwater fish? Do you notice any other possible symptoms? How much current and water surface aggitation does the tank have?

I do not have another tank for him to go in. I have kept saltwater fish for 9 months now. The surface agitation is good, there is a koralia 4 right on top with 1200 gph in returns, 600 on each side, then a powerhead in the middle more. Current is about 20x turnover, he sits in 2400 gph like nothing and plays in it, loops, turns, anything.

Only things I noticed were the blotches and that lump behind the fin.
