Powder Tangs

as long as you put them in at the same time and I would go with a powder brown being the biggest of the both Ive had powder blues n pretty agessive fish. I hear they will fight more if they are the same size cause they will have to fight to establish there dominance over the other. Pretty much rule applies with any tang for the most part. Just make sure you dont add any more tangs cause all hell will break loose. And the powders are ich magnets so you really dont want to keep stressing them out ones established.

i think you would be better off with one or the other, i've seen powder blues in the wild and they stay about 10 feet apart, you could add some other tangs, maybe 3 or 4 for that size tank.

I would also pick one or the other...just asking for trouble with both...when they get bigger the 220 will no longer seem to big and they will bother each other...imo...good luck!
both are great fish and beautiful...make sure you qt them with prazi and cupramine...though, not at the same time!

Thank you for the responses, I had a feeling it could be an issue. I'm thinking it isn't worth risking a conflict. I've been doing some research and it looks like the powder brown may be a little less aggressive. Anyone have any experience to support this?

My 2 cents late.....I would vote very unlikely to work. Acanthurus Tangent do not tolerate each other very well in tanks that size. I would want 600+ gallons before I would consider trying it.

IME the Powder Brown is the less aggressive of the two. I would not consider any combo of japonicus, leucosternon, achilles, lineatus and sohal unless in a very BIG tank.
