Powdercoat stand suggestions ?

You may want to look for a powder coater that does boat trailers. They will have no problem with the size and may be cheaper. I don't know of any specific shops, but I do remember that there were a few in Santa Fe Springs.

Powder coating sucks the best thing you could do for your stand would to coat it with a rust bullet like primer... The product I love is called master series and its silver... It's made to brush on and self level they use it on bridges over salt water it's been used for a long time . I painted a stand for my frag tanks that's exposed to salt water constantly it will never RUST... After that you use a black urethane paint any color....I spray that on and use high grade automotive paint. The same stuff PPG uses on their race cars for chip resistance... The master series does make a self leveling black paint that can be brushed on , but I perfer to spray it like glass....
Anybody interested let me know , I can show you samples so you know...and help you out...
Or you can pay me to do it...either way no problem

I powder coated mine and it’s good. Remember, you can tell the powder coated to lay it on thick. Normally they lay it on thin because there do a last of automotive parts and if they lay it on thick it puts them out of spec.

If I had it to do over again, I would do it in DIY bedliner. It’s available in a lot of colors other than black and it’s harder to chip and easier to repair.

When I did mine over 14 years ago, I took it to a Line-x place and had it sprayed. Looked the same when I sold it.
