what is the expected life for power compacts on a softie tank?
I think mine are about a year old.

Some of them lasts about 8-9 months, depending on the amount of hours used each day.

i replaced mine about every 10months....except the bulb that is just actinic....that gets done about every 18 months

6-8 months is probably the best, but most can get away with up to 12 months without to much trouble.
