whats a good power head for 46 gallon bow front. please quantity and placement suggestion please. i am have a hair algie problem and all my
test are good and i reduced my light and feeding and phosphate bag in my filter. I think i dont have enough flow.

you need to get some critters in there to eat it, mexican turbo snails did the trick on my hair. depending on what your live stock is now and if you are goin to get into corals, i would go with a sieo 820, that would give you good flow and would be decent for LPS and softies. IMO

i dont want to sped alot of money. i have 2 clowns and 2 damsels
and 2 anemones and 1 sand sifting starfish

nassarius snail
cone head snails
emerald crab

what size and how often do you do water changes?

Your sand sifter is going to starve... they need much more area than your 46 will give them to graze.

10 gallons every two weeks and 2-3 gallons of top off water a week on evaporation. and i use ro water.

i have had the sand sifting star for about 3 month and i seems to
be allright.
