A power inverter might be easier to get a hold of. Hook it up to your car battery for portable power.

Thing is we weren't expecting this. This was the worst our area experienced . They said its even worse than agnis in 72 or 73. Anyway I'm running on bat oper. Pumps still. The aquarium is at 74 degrees, and I blacked it out with towels. I did peak at the fish this morning and they seem ok . There not struggling for air. But how long can they hang in. Met-ed can't work till the flooding is over.

Hi! I am from central VA and we were without power last week for 7 days after Irene. 2 of our tanks ran on the battery operated air pumps with no loss. Fish were fine. Hope that helps. Good luck!

thanks! today we got power back. And just got done doing a 60% WC. Livestock seems to be ok. No losses so far
