Power Outage!!!

for some reason we lost power over the weekend, and when it came back on, all my GFCIs were tripped.

I reset them when I got to work (a few minutes ago...no idea how long they were off) but a few cursory measurements scared me:

salinity 1.031 (no top off since Thursday?)
temp 68
no water movement whatsoever
anemone shriveled up the size of a golfball, with at least one clown inside

all corals retracted

the shrimp and clams were out and moving normally (!)

i have since been adding RO/DI every few minutes to reduce salinity:
how fast can i go?

MH and heater set on 78 are both on.
should I regulate temp increase?

I am missing a clown...cant find him anywhere :(

please send suggestions!!!

The temp increase should be slow...same with the salinity change. Over the course of 2-4 hours should be safe. The 68deg temp and hyper salinity arn't going to be too bad for the fish, but the inverts and corals will be suffering.

You need to figure out why your GFCI tripped out. A normal power failure should not do that. You might have had a ground fault. Some water got splashed into your outlet or power strip? Maybe an appliance that was plugged into the GFCI had a short. Some people reported that inexpensive GFCI tended to trip with a strong power surge. Sounds faulty to me.
