Power outage

Lost my power . No problem I have a generator. Go to start up the generator and it wont start. Well I have a freind with one in North county. Drive 45 min there and 45 min back. Hook everything up and 5 minutes later the electric comes back on.

ya I use to hate that with a passion, on hot muggy summer days after a storm. run out to the generator compound. Hook up to a gen. Drive 2 hours to one of our sites. Break out the dirty as hell anaconda power cord -> hook it up. Just in time to hear the environmental sidewall A/C units to kick on -> right when you go to fire the gen up.

What type of products do they have to help with this issue if you do not have a generator. I know they have battery backups on vortech pumps. Do they have battery backup heaters?

Our power was out from Midnight last night til 6pm today, so 18 hours...THANK GOD I HAVE A GENERATOR:D:D:D:D

I know that there is a battery back up air pump out there too, it kicks on automatically when the power goes out.

Just add a generator to your every growing list LOL!!!!!$$$

Very funny Mike, but as much as Ameren Power goes out, I may not have a choice. And yes, I am really considering a Vortech with battery backup.

I think the vortech would be a good investment, with peace of mind, especially if your power is only out for a few minutes at a time.

I have a ups that will run one of my tunzes for 16 hours

the vortech one is a good idea tunze came out with a battery back up that you use your own battery to power a power head so the time could be a long time depending on what battery you use

Vortech's backup will last 30 hrs. I am not a fan of Tunzes. Too bulky IMO. This months awesome tank of the month, the tunzes were the first thing I noticed. Kind of made up my mind for me LOL.
