I`m setting up my 6055s and I`m assuming you set it to 24v if your using a multicontroller?

Is this switch on there if your not using a controller and want to adjust the speed?

Thanks, Dave

Just finshed setting up my 2-6055s and if I use interval 1 the pumps shut down all the way and when the pumps start back up they click . Is this normal? If I use interval 2 they don`t shut all the way down and then there is no clicking sound.

Just a side note Shawn- Why the heck is Salty closed on Tues. and Weds? I was planning on take a trip out there tomorrow until I found out your closed. Darn it!! I need some frags man.:D

The clicking was normal on them but not too long ago tunze figured out a fix. You need to new impellers and black washers for behind them. the new ones fit tighter thus not letting the imepller fly out of the well untill it gets to speed. Roger can send them to you, he will likely reply to this thread but you can pm him with your contact info etc and what you need and he can get it out to you.

As for hours it was a choice Dan mulled over for a long time but he decided to start being closed Tuesday and Wednesday to walk in business last October to be able to keep up with all the aspects of the business properly both inside and outside the store.

d-maz, the pumps you have should be the newest versions I am thinking as we just sent them to your dealer last week, check if your prop assemblies are black, the new version the magnet and plastic is black with a white prop blade, older versions the prop shaft and the base plastic on the magnet was white.

BTW, I can just say from all the years I worked in and ran retail shops, Tuesday and Wednesday are the slowest days of the week so it is a logical time to be closed.

It does look like the staffs are black with white props. Do you know of any other reason they would be clicking?

The store hours make sense to me too if thats the slowest days. I have the day off and was hoping to get some new additions for the tank. I`ll have to go another day.

Give them some time. The click is two parts, when the coil energizes the rotation can cause the prop to clack on the shaft, the prop should be tight fitting on the shaft, it can move if you twist it but it should not be loose. The other part of the clicking noise is the disks on the bottom we used to use 1, now we use two as when the coil energizes it pulls the magnet down and it claps against the disk, having two removes the space for it to pull down. If both of these are as I described the noise should be a temporary issue, new pumps are always a bit stiff and have to work in and then it should go away. For example the prop assembly may stick to the shaft due to the factory applied vaseline or a tighter fit when new and as this wears the prop will normally sit lower where it belongs.
