Powerbeads and anemone questions..

I putting my first anemone in later today, a bubble tip. I have a 125 gallon with 2 Tunze Turbelle Stream 6105 powerbeads. One on each end of the tank. I keep reading about them getting into powerbeads and to "guard" the powerbeads. How do I do that? How common is it for it to move to a powerhead? None of my rock work touches the walls of the tank. Could I add 2 anemones at the same time?

Best way is to add then inside a Tupperware with a rock inside so they attach to the rock the place the rock where you kind want it to go. It will move but it should be fine

While not very common it does happen..
Most people don't seem to do anything different and just hope for the best..

And the opposite of that is that very few people get into car accidents but I'd bet you put your seat belt on each time you get into a car.

Yes, you can add two anemones at the same time. This opens you up to the possibility of sexual reproduction.

I do hear of anemones getting shredded by powerheads occasionally. I would think, as long as you keep the guards on them, anemones couldn't get into them. To be on the safe side, I'd relocate any that get too close.

I lost a BTA in my gyre wavemaker due to this. The gyre does have socks to cover the pump blades but they significantly reduce flow as soon as they get a little dirty and increase maintenance a lot. I have read that guards fitted over the top of the wavemaker arms work a lot better - a lot of people 3D print them.

I have seen one commercial version but they are not cheap.

best thing to do is add the anemone when you can watch the tank for awhile to keep a eye on where the anemone is moving to. Once it gets settled it shouldn't move unless you change the flow or lighting.

Mine detached got sucked into the icecap gyre this morning. He hooks ****ed off mouth inerds out well see if it lives
