Powerhead in sump?

I have a 3 chamber sump and am wondering if I should put a small powerhead in the return chamber. The water looks really stagnant and is starting to get debris in the bottom?

I wouldn't think you would need a power head, but during a water change you could get rid of all that detritus by syphoning it out. If you put a power head in there it could stir it up and then get blown back in your tank.

The only place I would put a powerhead (( in a sump )) would be in the fuge section.

Like was mentioned above, clean out that chamber during a water change.

I think it would be fine in the sump, just put it in the fuge section and watch and make sure it is not putting micro bubbles back into the tank
