Powerhead placement

I just got a second Hydor 750 and wanted to get some input on how I set them up. Both are angled up for surface agitation, one towards the front and one towards the back. There is swimming room behind the rocks so I was going for the gyre affect but wasn't sure if it was my best bet. Oh and my return is a 450gph

My question is if there is a better way to angle them.

They should be fine that way. You could also try just one facing the top and another pointing twoards the middle to keep flow going around and through the rock stack to avoid dead spots.hth...

I have always had them up at the top of the tank pushing water straight across and agitating the top at the same time. Always worked for me.

I have 3 in my 75 plan on adding another or maybe just replacing a lower flow unit, but I have one agitating the top, and the other two are creating flow across. I would look to see if there are any dead spots and adjust accordingly.
