Powerhead Recommendations

Hi,
Sure wish the search was turned on. I'm sure this has been asked many times before.

I have a 60 gallon setup and need to add some water movement.

I like the Koralia units and have a small one in my nano tank, but it is fixed. Wouldn't it be better to have a head which moves the flow?

Which units do you recommend?

what you mean by its fixed? you can do 2k3 in the tank or 2 k2 and 1 k1

well, if you are going to have a sump setup, then you will get added flow from your returns to the tank. If not then you will have to have multiple pumps. The idea is to get random flow. Your best bet is to position the pumps where the flow collides with that of the other pumps. You''ll get great random flow this way. 2K 3's on the ends, and maybe 2K 2's in the middle pointing towards the front of the tank or angle them out a bit. If you are going with a sump, then depending on how big your return pumps is, you may only need to add one or two more small pumps. Hope this helps.
