Powerhead w/ or w/o airline?

Just looking for feedback on this issue.

I was told to remove the airline that comes with the PH when setting it up as this only adds a lot of bubbles to the tank (mostly nitrogen anyway) and is not needed. I've always used it in my freshwater tanks....but I can see it looking nicer without all those bubbles.

any feedback?

You dont really want allot of bubbles in your tank and IMO it is not needed.

Nope, for a powerhead that is for flow you don't want to have the airline attached. Remove it. If it was for a venturi skimmer or something, that's a different story.

Don't use an airline tube for your PH, it will not look good and the flow will decrease.

the salt build up that gets on anything the water comes in contact with then dries. it forms a white crust build up, thats salt creep. water splashing, spray, bubbles poping on the water surface all cause salt creep. its just part of the hobby.

im not trying to hijack this thread but i got a hangon filter running on my tank and it puts micro bubbles in my water. that wont hurt nothing will it? know anyway i can stop it from puttin them in the water?
