What size should I get for my 20g tank? Also should I have two or the one will probably bounce off the wall enough? Thanks guys and gals

What are you planning on keeping?

I would add another mj1200 or smaller and you should be good maybe the 900

So you don't think that the 295gph is to much for my tank? It seems to blow pretty hard. Its a constant shot to, so its not quite ocean like. I didn't think I would need two but if you think it will help I'll give it shot since I'm new to this I'm not sure how much movement is really needed.

Get a couple of the smaller nano streams from tunze. They have a wide gentle flow. Two 6025's would be great.

+1 for Tunze. They are really nice powerheads. I have 2x6055's and 2x6095's in my 6ft 180. the 95's have no issues making a beautiful swell.

I had two Hydor Koralia nano 240 gph pumps in my 15 gallon tank. They are perfect for small tanks because they tank up minimal room having half the mounting on the outside of the tank with the cool magnets. I like having two or more powerheads better than one to create a more random flow. With two you can set them up on opposite sides of the tank at the same angle, with the flows meeting in the middle of the glass to create chaotic, random movement. Plus, for $30 or so and the performance I have gotten out of mine, you can't really go wrong.

Thanks Viktor. I'll check into those as well. I don't want to go any bigger than 295 so I may go with your advice here. Two 240's would probably be a good mid max.

No problem, just saw them on ebay for 26.95 with free shipping, even if they fail (mine are still going strong and make no noise) its not an expensive replacement.

My 29 (Which is a 20 just taller) has a Korallia 750 and a Korallia 1050

So both are 1800 total gph so yeah 295 is nothing.

I use two 240's in my 10 gallon and they do absolutly nothing (Very Weak).

Do NOT get the Nano Power Heads unless you are doing a Fish Only system I Guess.

Huh, maybe I just had real good luck with them, they did awesome in my 15 gallon reef tank. I had zoas, mushrooms, and some lps in there that seemed to give all my coral great flow. I now have one 240 in my 40 gallon at the bottom of the tank and I still see decent water movement throughout the bottom water column.

I have 2 Nano Koralias, an AquaClear300, And a MJ600 powering my phosban reactor which pumps into my AC300 Fuge. Not to mention all this inside of a 20g long.

BTW I love the MF Doom avatar Victor

Need advice...125 cornerflo, pond master 1800 pump. 180 lbs of live rock 120 lbs fine sand...have 2 koralias 1150s. Should I put them on the sides or try to get them on the back?

i have 125g too. IMO 1 on each side, but we should move the neck 1 lead inside and 1 outside. To make sure the flow go through everywhere in a tank.
