Powerheads?

Hello, I am in the process of setting up a 40 gallon breeder reef. The tank setup I bought already comes with a wp25 powerhead, and I was wondering if I should add another powerhead (such as a wp10)?

WP will be enough flow for your 40. The real question might actually be whether you can achieve appropriate type of flow with one pump only. The WP25 has a couple of different running modes which will give you random flow strength but with one pump you will also have linear flow pattern which is not ideal.

If I were you id add a wp10 or something. Like oscarinw said, you'll only have water flowing one way essentially. You'd have a more even flow with 2, and even if it seems like too much flow you can run them a lower speed and put less wear on them.
