PPE Questions

I called quality marine life earlier today and they are letting me pick-up my PPE's. The guy I talked to 'Ryan' said that if I wasnt satisfied that my money would be fully refunded. He added that he has sold over 30 this month and no one has denied his ppe as not being the real thing. Really good customer service if you ask me. They are also like 10mins from where I live. I will post a picture up of there ppe tomorrow.

Fingers crossed :D

Funny... tell them to answer their fricken phone. It has almost been a month and I still dont have mine... The guy wont even answer his phone any more.

got a 2 polyp frag for $50 recently. seems like price still around $40-50 a polyp..Cheap is around 20-25 a polyp..but that seems to sell quickly.

No I have not got any money back yet. I called and he maybe will have some ready on Monday. In the mean time people are going to his store and picking up frags. Seems kind of ****ty to me. He took the money out of my account over a month ago. I am starting to hate Mondays and Tuesdays. Seems to be the answer for everyone now.

Yea don't buy from qualitymarinelife.com... or aquacon.com. Follow speckled groupers link for pictures of my supposed real PPE  .

Hey Marvin can you post a picture of what PE look like when they are exposed to too much light? Those white spots that appear on the oral disk of the PE. I have 3 RPE's and they have white spots growing on their oral disk flower part. I gave them a fresh water dip 1 day, another day I dipped them in iodine for 10 minutes(6 drops, 2 gallons) then the next day i gave them another 16 drop iodine dip for 15 minutes in 2 gallons aquarium water. I thought it was some sort of bacteria like zoa pox, but now I am not sure. The zoas that I also purchased a week ago also have white spots except they appear more cottony then my PE. The white spots on my PE look a little different from the ones on my zoas, and they are located on the oral disk. After the dip my RPE are hardly opening and my zoas released some sort of round poop glob that clouded my water yesterday night.

Whats going on, I am also noticing white spots on some of the stalks now. Zoa pox?

I just read the last thread of ronens and it says to leave it alone and stop dipping because it causes stress. I guess I have also noticed an increase in spots after giving freshwater dipps and iodine. I plan to do a 40% water change later.

wow.. sorry for not responding right away... anyway, I don't think there's anything wrong with your zoas.. they were just exposed to lots of light that's why they develop the white speckles.. check out ZoaID.com for more details about the speckling..

here's a couple of pics for you.. PPE's that got too much lights..

Awww man. I dipped my RPE like 4 times and now they are hardly opening. I also dipped those watermelons zoas. The watermelons seem to have white bumps growing on the oral disk.

Nice RPE's:eek1: :eek2:

LMK when you frag your RPE's.

LMK when you frag your RPE's.

Im going to need some.
My RPE looked like the ones in this picture I found off of ebay with the white spots....

After I dipped them in iodine, 16 drops in 2 gallons of aquarium water for 15 minutes they never opened back up. I blew them with a turkey baster and chuncks of the 3 polyps practically flew off and now my polyps got holes in them so they probably only have a 1% chance of making it.:(

I shouldn't have dipped them in iodine.
