umm...maybe I missed the memo, but are you guys saying the uber-famous PPE is a palythoa?

PPE are zoanthus gigantus (or some similar Caribbean species )...they're not palythoas.

What I'm saying that polyp is not a PPE nor a people eater.

i didnt buy them as PPE. They just kinda look like them, but with a white mouth.

I figured which is why I mentioned that they were zoanthus gigantus. They grow to ave size of a nickle sometimes bigger. Some have a dark blue to a purplish dark blue hue. They're nice polyps.

If anything, it looks like a Zoanthus sp. And to give a name it resembles a Joker IMO.

Let me refraise , it's not a people eater. plain and simple. its a zoa but these specific ones grow larger than your usual zoa that an eraser head size or slightly larger. Does that makes more sense now?:hmm1:

I have this question for a long time...
as long as they are bigger zoas with neon month, they can be called PE?
and if they have purple body then they are PPE?
