prazi pro question

Hey guys, For those of you have run prazi pro in your display tank, did you ever notice a green slime, sludge buildup accumulate in your sump?

I just got done running it in my tank, and my sump was spotless before using it. I had it in for ten days, with skimmer and uv light off, and I noticed a good amount of slimy, green like algae on my sump walls, skimmer, heater etc?

Also, for those have used it for flukes, were 2 five day treatments typically enough?

Well I have no experience using it in my Display Tank. 10 days should completly eliminate all stages of flukes. Prazi kills all the adult stages of flukes, what it doesn't kill is the eggs. Considering eggs can take 4-10 days to hatch, after the second round of prazi is finished your tank "should" be free of all flukes.

I'd imagine what you are seeing is the result of no skimmer or uv, should go away once the treatment is done and that equipment is turned back on.

2 5-day treatments should be enough, sometimes people need to run a third (or just do to be on the safe side).

Ok sounds good. I wanted to do a third, but my water was becoming so cloudy, my ph was falling down to a 7.4 at times, plus I just started running ecobak pellets in a reactor about a month ago. I didn't want to forfeit a skimmer longer than ten days.

I suppose the combination of no skimmer, uv, plus bio pellet reactor creating bacteria would have led to ugly build up in sump.
I did water change yesterday, put uv on, ran carbon, and skimmer, but 24 hours later skimmer is still foaming to no end. However, my ph as returned to its typical 7.9. Had to cut my losses somewhere with prazi
