Prazi Pro

She is eating again today by the way, so I am very happy. Its been 4 days with Prazi, how long do you guys recommend I leave her in the treatment for?

So I did a freshwater dip to see if she did have flukes that I can't see but I did not find any after a 10 min. dip. I was amazed at how well she handled the dip actually. So she is back in QT now.

Maybe she could have flukes that are just really too small to see?

Except she still have no other signs. She did stop eating for a day after starting the prazi pro but other than that one day, she is eating very well.

Maybe its not parasites and she just needs to gain weight...

My mimic tang had the same issue. Pretty much ate anything I dropped into the tank. Pellets, flakes, nori, romaine lettuce, cooked shrimp, so I nevered bothered to take a second look at him. Until one day I was just sitting and watching my tank, not feeding, I noticed how skinny he was. Into the QT he went. At first he was really unhappy about going into the "dog house" and didn't eat the first day, but started gobbling on the second day. So I start Prazi-pro treatment started on day 2. On day 5 of treatment, he stopped eating, and on day 10, he died.
When I told my fish buddy about my mimic, he said that since he was eating, I should have tried medicated food like Ultra Cure PX. I guess that's what I'll try next time...

It probably wasnt flukes at all that killed it. In my experience fish with flukes that stops eating are not skinny. I usually FW dip the fish to see any opaque sesame size seeds fall off. That confirms the fish has flukes.

It probably died from either:
1) Stress
2) Bad water quality
3) If the fish is new then probably cyanide poisoning
4) Ich/Velvet
