Prazipro and ich

I have 3 fish in QT right now a couple of wrasses and a flame back angel, I dosed the tank with prazipro yesterday and just now noticed that the flameback angel has white spots all over him.

Question is, what do I do?
Wait two more days till the prazipro has run its course then do a copper treatment for the ich? Or run carbon right now to get rid of the prazipro and then dose with copper? Will the wrasses be ok with copper?

Here's the best picture I could get you can see the white spots on his tail.

Just because the fish has white spots doesn't mean it's going to die. I personally would just keep that fish fat and healthy and watch it for signs of stress. If it seems healthy and is eating still, it should fight the ich that is on it. After that you can treat them all with copper. You could start running carbon to make sure the prazi is removed if you want

IMO, I wouldn't jump the gun just yet and over medicate. I'd make sure the fish are eating well and then observe them to make sure they have what you think you need to treat for. Angels especially can be hyper sensitive to copper, so that's something to keep in mind as well. Prazipro only stays in the water for 3-4 days so I would just let the dose run its course and not worry about using carbon to remove it prematurely. Anyway, Just my $.02, hope that helps.

That's what I was thinking, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't being irresponsible by waiting to treat the ich. Is there a better treatment alternative to copper?

One of the wrasses is a blue star leopard wrasse- she's not showing any symptoms but I imagine I'll have to treat her as well- does that change the treatment method I should use?

If 1 fish has it, they all have it. You have some pretty sensitive fish, I would look in to other methods than copper. Like Tank Transfer Method or Hypo-salinity

I could probably do hypo if you think it would be less stressful for them. I'm a bit concerned about not having sand for the leopard wrasse for TTM. The angel and leopard wrasse were in the same tank at the LFS which is why I bought them at the same time I figured they were already exposed to the same environment.

I'll go ahead and be that person who points out... You can actually live with Ich in your tanks, lol. many do. If you keep your fish happy and healthy, they'll never have an issue with it.

Agree 100% ich is not apocalypse in your tank it could be if fish are weak and tank isn't healthy. Just keep feeding and keeping water quality high with out any major swings and hopefully will pull through .

I would do TTM w/ all of the fish together, then observe. Look at stickys.

After a round of Prazipro, that's what I do with any fish regardless. TTM is too easy, and too effective, to not do it and be done worrying.

Any suggestions for minimizing stress to the leopard wrasse through TTM? I'm guessing I'd need a new container of sand for every transfer.
I'm trying to figure out what the best thing to do is, I don't want to unnecessarily stress my fish if they can pull through and be ok, but I have these fish in qt already so now is the best time to treat them and make sure it's gone. It seems though in some instances the treatment is worse than the disease, hypo doesn't seem to be a sure thing depending on the strain most sources say 4weeks hypo past the last spot plus another 4 weeks to be sure plus another 4 weeks, and TTM seems incredibly stressful for a sensitive fish

I did tank transfer with a leopard wrasse. I did provide a full bowl of gravel for each transfer. I did it with six transfers just to be safe. That now that leopard wrasse is now swimming in my 150 gallon tank that is ick free. I used new gravel/bowl for each transfer.

Same. I just bought a bag of live sand from the LFS when I bought my leopard. Think I still have about half of it left. it doesn't take much, just enough so they can cover themselves.

TTM is way to easy and probably the least stressful of 3 known ways to get rid of ich.
