PraziPro in DT

I have read that there were a few people that dosed PraziPro in their reef tanks with little to no effects on the corals.
Can anyone confirm this? I think that they did mention that the feather dusters and most bristle worms were toast though.
Also, when leaving your skimmer off for 5-7 days, did it have any effect on your O2 saturation, PH levels, especially at night?

Thanks.

i have used it in my mixed reef with no ill effects. i don't have any fancy feather dusters, but the small ones on the rocks survived. it killed the flukes, and a few bristle worms, not all the bristleworms though. i saw no ill effects with leaving the skimmer off for 7 days. i had a heavy bioload, i saw my nitrates go up from 0ppm to 20ppm. a large water change and starting up the skimmer had it to undetectable in about 2 weeks. i am completely comfortable putting it in my system, and will if i ever need to again.

My experience was very similar to francis1123's. I have a fowlr tank with a few corals so I guess it qualifies as a mixed reef, there's some small feather dusters in there too. Nothing died except the flukes. Kill all your filtration and dose properly and you should be fine.

remember that when you turn your skimmer back on it'll foam like a mother trucker so watch out for that =]

Thanks cthetoy, extremely informative :)

Do you advocate 2nd treatments all the time? Just not comfortable leaving my Skimmer, UV, Ozone and fluid reactors off for 10 - 14 days.

You can leave your skimmer on. I leave it on for aeration purposes but I adjust the level since Prazipro will make your skimmer overflow. UV and ozone may break down the Prazipro. I don't do second treatments but I perform more water changes and replenish the Prazipro with the amount of water with each water change. You need to treat Prazipro for 7 days but I had success with a 5 day treatment

I know Cupramine and UV is a definately NO because UV breaks down the Cupramine to make it 10x more potent. Seachem confirmed this.

For my leopard wrasse, I did 2 six day treatments stopping vodka, skimmer, & carbon. I left gfo going. No major issues expect some hair algae that is now going away, and a huge amount of cyno.

all corals, brittle-stars, urchins, etc are fine.

Just dosed a bottle of it. And noticed anemones are closing but rst of tank looks ok. Any effects on sea cucumbers ?
