Prazipro in the DT?

I have a 130 gallon tank. It has been up and running since December of 2015. In the tank I have (2) chalk bass, (2) percula clownfish, (2) Banggai Cardinals, (1) Orange Prawn Goby, and a Serpent sea star. I also have SPS, and Soft corals.

I recently saw one of my cardinals have the white stringy poop disease. Both of the cardinals I have have not been eating the live worms like normal. They have also been hiding, which is unlike them. All the other fish in the tank seem to be acting normal, and eating as they always do. So something is up with the cards. (I have had them in the tank for almost 4 months)

I set up my QT last night, in preparation for the cardinal(s). Well needless to say, I couldn't catch them. So after ****ing everyone off in my tank, I gave up.

That leads me to this.......What harm, if any, could I cause to my DT if I were to put prazipro in the tank, in hopes of curing this disease?

As far as I know, Prazipro is fine to use in your display. Just follow the directions. You'll have to do some large water changes, and take out any carbon you might be running and if you have a skimmer you will have to turn that off as well. But that should all be in the directions.

oh ya, I also have some snails and red legged hermits....if that matters

I read that feather dusters will not survive the prazipro treatment. It just so happens, my only feather duster is growing on my snails shell. It came as a hitch hiker. Guess I'll lose him :(

I got home and was observing the cardinals......the one is still breathing hard, and definitely not acting right. He looks perfectly healthy. Gills look good, but his mouth isnt closing all the way and he's breathing rather fast.

I have seen him have eggs in his mouth before, but I don't see that boxy look to his jaw this time. If it wern't for the white stringy poop that I saw last night, I would think it was eggs. I have not yet seen the white stringy poop tonight though.

If you add Prazi to the tank you need to add airstones or something to help aerate the water. PP drops O2 in the water significantly. You can easily lose fish if not because of suffocation

Pull the collection cup off of your skimmer and let it flow into your sump. That will create plenty of oxygen and help keep the water aerated.

I've ran prazi in my DT before with no problems at all. Didn't affect fish, coral, or inverts. Just do that with your skimmer and you should be fine.
