Praziquantel safe for Ornamental Shrimp?

Is praziquantel safe for use with ornamental shrimp? I'm speicfically interested in treating a quarantine tank for tubeworms that is housing some peppermint shrimp.

Although the package label says that its reef safe, my experience has been that some inverts (snails) aren't very vigorous during a praziquantel treatment, though they do survive.

thanks.

I have treated a tank with five scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp, one peppermint shrimp, and four sexy anemone shrimp with Prazipro with no ill effects. The tank was treated twice following the manufacturers directions.

Thanks. Good to know. As it turns out my juvenile peppermints are molting right now. Its a good thing I waited on the Prazi treatment, or I would have been worried about cause and effect.

I've used prazi in the past with inverts and everything that wasn't a worm did survive. The big Mexican turbo snails did shrivel up, become less active, and look pretty sickly during the treatment period, but they survived the course of treatment following the instructions on the Prazi Pro label. They perked up quite a bit after a couple of large water changes and are doing fine now. I just thought I'd ask about shrimp. Thanks.

You're very welcome. That is the only time I have had to treat a display tank, so not exactly an exhaustive study, but I have heard the same from other people too. Good luck!
