bulk reef supply has pre-made rocks they sell. don't know if that's what you looking for or not though

We have a member that was doing some great work with a special mix of ceramic clay and their kiln at home. I can fill you in on some of the details but I am not sure that person is still working with it or interested in creating anything at this point. I can find out at the next meeting on the 17th and maybe introduce you guys if you can hold out a couple weeks.

Don't use that ceramic rock from Zeovit. It leaches heavy metals into your water. It will kill any corals you put in your tank. This is why you cannot buy it anymore.

Read about rock/foam combo, if you take the time and practice a lil bit you can really do so nice looking stuff.

There is also something called Sea-thetic live rock too..been doing some reading on it and from what I can see kind of an iffy product but really didn't spend a whole lot of time on it before I decided agains it a few months ago..but may be worth a look.

The French and Germans have been using ceramics to make live rock for years. Most ceramics are fired to over 2000 degrees or more and most impurities including heavy metals burn out. I have quite a bit of ceramics in my tanks and do not seem to have any issues.
