Predatory nudi?

Before I kill it, tell me if it's trouble. I think the zoas would say it is! :uzi: I can see eggs on one of the polyps. Will Revive work on the eggs or Lugol's? Of course this has to be the frag I was planning on selling to Mr86mister!! Grrrr!

Yes it is a predatory nudi. Big trouble I would get it out quick!!!! And get rid of the eggs and check your other corals for more of them. I have heard Lugol's works the best.

Thanks for the link Dave! It doesn't look exactly like the one pictured, but close enough for me. I checked this morning and it's still on that same frag. I posted over in Reef Discussion as well and someone suggested Lugol's so I'll do that. I had removed the frag last night but then put it back in the tank. I removed the eggs before I did; hopefully I got them all.

I do feel a little bad for the nudibranch though. I just hope there aren't more of them.

Zoanthid eating nudibranch for sure. I hope there aren't anymore either. They are a big pain and can slowly eat away at a system if they are not kept in check. Very common on zoanthid colonies coming out of the wild.

The frag has been dipped and the little bugger removed.

I would take a close look at the rest of your stock. Run your finger over them to get them to close this makes it a lot easer to see the little buggers.

It's weird, I look really closely at my livestock everyday and it wasn't until recently that I saw this guy. I actually saw him several days ago, but didn't realize what I was looking at until it moved to this frag yesterday. I will definately be looking even more closely now! I have a decent sized colony that is very difficult to get a look in between the polyps even with them closed up. I'm tempted to give a dip just in case, but I know there's a good sized brittle star in the rock - will an iodine dip hurt it?
