very excited to see this..I would love to attempt raising these beautiful fish.
I have a male and female in my 30 gallon. male for about a year, female slightly less... they are both eating frozen food and love it. I was just curious if anybody else around had attempted or had any luck with raising the fry. I have read an article or two online but haven't been able to find much, i believe they lay their eggs slightly after dust and i would have to collect them from the water column some how? not to sure, any advice would be appreciated.

Exciting!

And just curious - I know it's normal to pull the eggs with sw fish but is this because there's so much more flow in a reef tank or are sw fish just typically not very good parents/leave their eggs to fall to predation and such??

good question.. im not sure as to the reasoning i just know the fry wont survive on their own. people say that adult mandarins are hard enough to keep so im pretty sure it will be a task raise the fry..im up for the challenge tho!
