Pregnant Mandarin

They have been together for well over a year. Courting the whole time, and she is finally pregnant. I now have a pregnant Mandarin and Seahorse at the same time! The other three Mandarin pairs I have need to get busy.

Mandarin does not get pregnant. The female just get full of unfertilized eggs (does not need a male to do this). I am sure this is what you mean.

Yes, she has either a large batch of eggs or she might be bound up, which can become serious. Hopefully all goes well. Catching the eggs is impossible less than are in a special setup. After posting this last night, I noticed that the Spotted Mandarin pair was courting. I also have a pair of Red Mandarins that I have seen only court once, and a pair of Red Scooters. The female Red Scooter is still too small to mate I believe.
