Pretty chaeto

Any tips on making chaeto in DT pleasant to the eye? Can it be smashed into the sand to make a "carpet" ? I'm planning on getting some to help with fighting my algae problem, and to also be more pleasant looking.

I wouldn't mind the algae if it wasn't patchy on the sandbed lol
Also open to other ideas

There are plenty of marco algae's that look much better in the diaplay than cheato. Look through that forum and you will see some really nice diaplay algae's.

XD well chaeto helps greatly and I wanted to lower nitrates (20ish) a bit more
And I really like green lol

I got about 5 lbs of chaeto free today, and the guy even gave me some dragons breath ( I'm not sure if that's the real name, but that's what I've seen it called)

I put most of it in my pod tank and a good pound in my display for now xD
I also ordered shaving brushes.

Any info on them? ( I'm almost going to go with a planted tank LOL)
