preventing lime build up

Since I started adding kalk to the ATO, I have lime deposit build up in the sump wall and floor.

The TO water hose is suspended above the return section in the sump. TO water in the container is somewhat clear with deposit in the bottom of the container. I wait about 10 hours after mixing the kalk to turn the ATO on. The TO pump is placed inside a glass container to prevent pumping deposits.

Is there a way to prevent the lime deposit? I have it on my heater as well.

Thanks,

You need to introduce kalkwasswer into an area of the sump with high flow. I have mine right next to the drains so it gets mixed in. Even then I get a buildup on the baffle which I remove a couple times a year.

will the kalk effect the skimmer or UV performance?

My sump is sectioned as follow: drain, skimmer, carbon/gfo and UV pumps, return, and fuge. Currently, the TO is located above the return section.

Thanks for the help,
