Prevention meds on quarantine time

Do you guys use meds as prevention during quarantine time for fish, corals, and inverts?

If yes, can you please list them what meds you use? Newbie here

im a noob also but i just do ttm with prazipro and formalin then into the tank with fish...corals get a dip then in they go...inverts im rollin the dice and throwing em in..

i personally use prazipro for all fish and cupramine on all tangs/fish known to carry ich.
corals get just a dip in coralrx or revive
inverts get a temp acclimation then parameter acclimation then into tank.

What do you guys think of using the following? pros and cons?

Fish...Praziquantel, Metronidazole, Chloroquine Phosphate (all at the same time mix in QT tank)
Coral----Coralrx dip

No experience with them except for the CP. I do a Formalin dip upon arrival, straight out the bag. Then straight into TTM which they get 2 rounds of Prazi-Pro during the 12 days. Then they go into the QT which a dose of CP is given for 21 days. After that, just another 2-3 weeks of observation before going into the DT.

Oh almost forgot, for as corals and inverts. Inverts I do not using any meds, as most of them are harmful to the inverts. I have a little 5 gallon I use for inverts and let them be for 72 days before transferring them to the DT. Corals, I do use Revive and Bayer for dips upon arrival and they go into a 10 gallon for 72 days also.

Wow and wow! So you really can't enjoy them in DT until months later?!

How do you choose 12 days, 21 days, and 72 days?

Here's a good write up about ich and why I choose 72 days. Usually I go 90 to be safe.

For the 12 days, that is the minimum for the Tank Transfer Method (TTM) to treat ich. For as the 21 days that comes from the directions that are on the bottle that I use, New Life Sprectrum Powder Shield which I use for a velvet preventative.

so just to be clear with your method, you put in paraguard week#1, do 100% water change, and then put in Parazipro for 2 week, do 100% water change, and then put in Cupramine for 2-3 weeks, and then drain the water, and put the fish in DT?

Do you do % water change within those weeks while on med?

Similar to Blacktip, I don't QT corals and inverts. Inverts go straight in and corals get dipped with CoralRX. As a preventative for fish, I generally give them all 2 doses of PraziPro while in QT.

ParaziPro one dose lasts 5-7 days. I change water on the 6th day, and add another dose.
Cuppramine need to be at full concentration of .5 for 2 full weeks. The instruction says to put half a dose and the other half 48 hours later. I like to add half a dose for 1 week, and if the fishes look ok, I add the other half of the dose and keep it their for 2 weeks. After water change, I make sure to up the dose back up.Then, you can observe the fish for another week or two. It depends on how they look like and whether they showed any sign of disease.
