Has anyone purchased a 120g recently?

My LFS's are closed tomorrow and there is a 120g being sold on a local forum that I am considering buying. Just curious to know the going rate for a RR 120G Planet Aquarium tank or similiar with no frills (eurobrace, rimless, PVC bottom, etc.)

Thanks!

I think it will be impossible for anyone to tell you the going rate, as that is going to be drastically different depending on where you are located, state, city, the condition of the tank, what it comes with, how thick the glass or plexiglass is, etc. etc. Just too many variable.

My 110 RR Marineland was only about $450 from LFS a year ago. Not quite a 120, but I can't imagine the price being that much different if I were to have gone with a 120/125.

I picked up my 120 tank for $150 almost exactly a year ago in Baton Rouge. This was for the tank only and it was a 5' long glass 120 with no holes or overflows.

I was quoted $1,399.00 for a 115 rimless aquarium , 72x24x16 by Planet Aquarium. That was with 1/2" and 3/4" glass, five holes and a ghost overflow. Omaha NE.

Thanks for the responses, guys.

The tank in question is a standard 120 (4ftx2ft footprint) with a center overflow. Never seen water and comes with a trigger sump, skimmer, return pump and a few other items.
The tank looks like a Planet aquariums tank, which is why i mentioned them earlier.

I had been considering going with a custom tank this go'round- rimless, external overflow, etc. but for the price, I dont think I should pass this one up. It will still be several months before I ever get water in it, so there is still time to decide on custom or not. . .
