price of clams

I was at Pet City Mt Gravatt, brisbane today and they had aqua cultured clams (tiny lil suckers) for $220aus. Is that standard for clams or is that really expensive? if thats the norm, i think i'll skip on clams.

well, in southern california ultra grade maximas go for $50 and up, while grade A maximas go for UP to $50.. and these are the 1.5inch - 2.5inch aquacultured clams I'm talking about too

Southern Cali and Australia, are two different places.
