I have a Duncan that has about 30-40 heads and 5 inches in diameter when fully open. I would like to sell it as a whole, how much you think I should price it? thanks

As I mention, that is the typical price....and then you have to look to sourced like Live Aquaria who sells a three (3) headed Duncan for $29.99, but it is on sale now for $17.99. Typically if someone is looking for a show piece they will pay the $8 - $10 / head. If you really want to sell it then I would think the $8 appropriate.

I paid $5/head at a frag swap for a 4 head piece. The more heads I would think it actually decreases the price per head. 30 heads X $4 and you get $120. I think $100 would be a pretty quick sale and really a decent deal for both of you. FYI, I see them that large at stores around here and they charge around $150 and you won't get store prices generally.

That's a beautiful coral, but I wouldn't pay any more than $50 for it. Around here, every LFS has duncans, and there not that difficult to keep. It's only a matter of time before one head becomes many. Sorry. :(

I know what you mean. I think you make more by fragging it.

In Spain they are expensive 90-100 euros for one like this.
My opinion is that you do not need to buy a big one because they ere extremely quick growers. With one halv of the size or even smaller you will see doble the size every year

Tried to frag it with dremmel but I couldnt get the blade in between without hitting the heads. I'll get a bone cutter and see if that works better
