i want to primer the inside of my canopy with white primer. looking at lowes the primer's all look the. same. anyone have a favorite brand? i need it to cover over stain and unfinished wood.
+1 for Kilz Oil Based Exterior. It is a really slick surface so it is easy to clean up salt creep every once in awhile. For me I would suggest wiping down once every few months. However, I am pretty anal about the appearance of my stand and equipment.
White appliance epoxy paint from home depot... comes in 1 quart can or spray, rather than primer. Is better suited for a damp/wet environment and has far better light dispersion properties (very diffuse reflective surface) and is more bulletproof (resistant to salt creep and UV) than any latex or oil base paint. Kilz is a good primer... the epoxy paint does not require a primer, but you can use one if you want...
Sure looks like it. PVC is not UV stable, exterior applications require it to be painted. It will deteriorate eventually crumbling to dust over time. Slower under MH than the actual Sun, but still happens over time. The heat from a light source that close can actually burn it as well not just UV.
