Could be LisaD, but he has the highest fin I've ever seen? More like a Priolepis borea? Another thing I've noted is that his stripes seem to be more spread out and fewer than cincta IME. Perhaps he's a Heinz 57:lol:
Another shot of him in the corner. Much better color IMO, the previous had a flash glare that made him very neon yellow.
Here's some were he's actually being a 'reef' goby and trying to camo ........
Took him some time to be seen in the rocks. His favorite spots were the rear corners of the Solana. I suppose he now feels comfortable enough to go to the "reef".
They are too cute I'm glad other people like keeping them
Here's mine
I've had him for at least a year now, its pretty amazing for a little guy. Sometimes I don't know he's there then when I feed, BAM out of nowhere he is eating.
Priolepis ascensionis, the Ascension Goby, named for their natural territory, Ascension Island and The St. Helena Territiries in the South Atlantic....That's what those are...did a lot of research when I got mine....
I realise this is an old thread but I've just added a second Priolepsis nocturna to my existing one and they seem to be getting on OK so I thought I'd share:
