Pro Salt frozen fish foods

this brand makes THE FINEST frozen marine fish food blends I've EVER used so WHAT'S GOING ON with the supply chain here?

It's difficult to find Pro Salt Foods locally nowadays.

The IGF stuff is great PLUS they Offer 12 Formulated Frozen Foods for Many Different Varieties of Marine and Fresh Water Fish:

~Marine Supreme
~Seaworm Supreme
~Marine Supreme PLUS
~Angel Diet
~Pro green
~Pro V (100% Vegetable)
~Pro Green Plus
~Freshwater Supreme
~Discus Supreme
(new) REEF SUPREME
(new) CARNIVORE SUPREME
(new) CHUNKY CLAM
(new) MINI REEF MIX

NOTHING I've tried over the years compares with some of these foods- and they're resonably priced.

This reminds me of the VibraGro story- something that's good doesn't last for one reason or another... but the bottom line is if there's a demand someone will fill it (ie: in VibraGro's case New Life/ Spectrum and ORAglo pellets),however... no other frozen fish food manufacturers offer blends similar to some of those above.

One of the main problems I see is that many aquarists tend to buy "junk food" or over hyped over priced foods.

Pro Salt is the GOOD STUFF at the RIGHT PRICE.

I've found it here in Rochester at Pet World / Aqua Shoppe in Greece and Marine Oasis in Spencerport.

Others in Rochester might sell it?

What about Buffalo...or Syracuse... do you guys ever see this brand for sale?

Never seen it in Syracuse but I've never specifically looked for it because I have never heard of it before. Will definitely keep an eye out. I like Rod's but it is bloody expensive.

what a surprise!

what a surprise!

I would have never guessed Coralife salt is more popular around upstate NY than Pro Salt foods!

Apparently, Dave Franco has been in touch with Pro Salt in order to work on this problem.

To all the people that don't or have not used Pro Salt foods I strongly suggest trying them. Create a demand and someone should fill it.

Down with over hyped over priced junk fish foods.

Reef animals require good foods in order to thrive and look their best.

Gary what is the problem with pro salt? Been using and stocking the brand for years. I can help Dave out with it.

I'm not asking anybody to pick up this line of food but I'd be interested in knowing who in Rochester carries it.

Anybody see it around?

I've used Pro Salt foods for years.
The aqua shoppe is where I've gotten it mostly.
I used to even feed Pro Green (actually a salt water food mix) to many of my veggie loving large freshwater fish in the past.

Pro salt is good stuff.
I don't always get up there to Greece though and it's nice to know G at ABC carries it too. Though I don't get over to Fairport too much either.

PE Mysis, Ocean Nutrition brands and Rods food are popular in my neck of the woods. I've stocked up on alot of Rods and really like it. But wonder how they'd compare..? Anyone have an idea? Which is better- Rods or Pro salt?
Is Rods over rated in any way?

I do like Pro salt foods and wish I had a supplier closer. I think it's cheaper and wouldn't mind saving some money on the next stock up.

Pro Green is an inexpensive alternative for feeding filter feeders.

Not that Rod's or DT's are overrated- I think they're great products.
Perhaps over priced or over hyped.. but great nontheless.

Rod was a clownfish breeder. His demands were large and used in a breeding system. They are designed to handle dirty conditions. Its a basic grocery store seafood blend. Wouldn't get to excited about it one way or the other. IMO it's pricey blended seafood.

I've done home made fish foods in the past and basically that's what Rod did- marketed his mix. Is it good? Yes. Is it worthy of the hype and price? No comment.

Anyone remember feeding their reef tanks some G's Reef Stew? Been a while.
I agree 100% and this is the reason I do not use rods food. There are others that are as good for much less.
