Probiotics Bio Pellets, Do they work?

Do you use Bio Pellets? Do they work? Do you use a reactor or in a mesh bag? Would like some peoples input that use or used them and what kind of luck (good or bad) you have had with them. Do you add or do you need to add some sort of bacteria source along with the pellets? What kind of flow is needed for them to work properly?

If you look in the reef discussion and chemistry forums there are many pellets that are gone over, the general concensus is no you dont need to add bacteria and they do better in a reactor. There are lots of active threads already going about the different pellets, but they all work off the same basic process.
