problem fishes with clams

okay so I ordered a clam and I am getting him tomorrow......just found out that some fishes dont do well with them.

I researched what inverts couldnt go with them ,where params need to be,lighting ,placement but somehow had a brain fart when it came to fishes. all my fish except my maroon clowns(spawning pair) are nice and havent messed with things or nipped and the maroons are only crazy if something gets close to their anemone ......
I have a:

salfin tang
2 maroon clowns
1 diamond golby
1 6 line wrasse very well mannored though I have heard horror stories
1cleaner shrimp
1 dottyback
and a bunch of snails and hermits for ccleaner crew

I guess i'm most concerned about the 6line and diamond...anyone have any good experinces with these? my diamond golby likes to bury stuff with sand but he never venters far from the sand bed and my crocea will be up on rocks towards the higher middle. any words of wisdome are welcomed ...the only fish i think i'll be getting in the future are a mandrin and a yellow tang. thanks everyone

cowfish are problematic with ich, they are slow and stress easily from other fish. And if they die they pollute the tank pretty badly.

I'm pretty sure cowfish release poison when they expire.

no its extreemly rare when they die naturally....has to be stress induced...but I wonder if they eat clams? never known anyone who kept them in a reef tank...but I've heard of it...wonder if theirs had a clam?
