Problem- New Anem owner.

So i bought this Anemone from a local and it was deflated when i got there.

the guy spent 40 mins getting it out of a 15pound rock with a deep crevice in it.

It's foot is about 3X3

I have a 24Gal Nano with 150Viper overhung.

Expanded this thing is like 10 inches wide- It cannot stay in my nano and move around and destroy my year old tank.

so I've got a Solution which is my problem.

Just got another 150W Viper

20Gal Long

Enough Salt to make up water

a hang on back for a 50 gallon running in my display to get some bacteria growing.

- I need the Anem out soon
So-
can i put some cured Live rock from my display into the 20
a Five Gal water change and the hang on the back filter
2 powerheads

Will the Anem be ok in there?
right now he is confined to a cage like system of 2 kitchen sink scrubby holders. one inverted over the other. He is filling out the space. I am feeding him alot to make him pleased atleast.

what kind of anemone? is the 20 gal tank established?

First of I would rather see this going into a tank larger then a 20g, but it is what it is.

Kudos for pre-populating the filter before the move. On moving day I would do a 50% water change on the JBJ and put that used water into the new 20g with mixed up saltwater that has been allowed to sit for at least 24hrs so it has had a chance to stabilize. Make sure all the parameters such as SG and alk are where they should be. Then move over the live rock and anemone.

Will the power filter be the only circulation in the tank?

Not the only circulation i have a small maxi 660 which moves somewhat, i was wondering what the best powerhead for an anemone tank would be.

any powerhead that is covered is alright. They can wander and get sucked into them. I've covered maxi-jets with a thin layer of filter sponge. Enkamat can probably used also.
