problem... weird white spots

These things are all over my glass and liverock... they look like small/tiny snails. I pass my magfloat over them and the dont move it very hard to scrap these things off.

I've look around to find out what these are but cant get an answer...

ALk... cant really tell you but I know it's just a little low not much though... lost the conversion chart :| but I know what color the test is supposed to be

They are called spirorbids.

I'll see if I can find a link to pictures. I had a bunch for awhile then they started disapeering.

They are harmless.

No tips. Mine just went away all by themselves after about 2 months.

You really have to scrub them little suckers off. They are quite hardy.

they are pretty common on newer tanks

Thats interesting because my tank has been up for 7 years and I just got them for the first time about 4 month ago.

I'm still trying to figure out what spawned them after all these years.

They have feathers coming out of them?

yeah but you can barely see them.. kind of orange-ish, I had to pull out a magnifying glass to see it when I read that they have them.

I've seen them develop in my refuge as well. Its normal, but if it annoys you then I would scrape it off. Personally if it was on my display tank glass I would remove it.
