Problem with 6105 Pump

I am having trouble with one of the 6105's I bought. In feed pause this pump stalls, then spins, then stalls, then spins etc. It does this on the 7096 and Profilux controllers (feed pause also). I tried swapping channels with both of the 6105's and the unit still does the same no matter what channel it's on with the 7096 and Profilux?

It sounds normal, this is described in the manual as "Fishcare" in any function where the pump is turned off it should turn one rotation every 20 seconds (.5-4 rotations is the range). The idea is to scare away a small animal that might try to enter a pump that is off.

Also what I mean by stalling is it is random. Sometimes it will stall for a second or two, other times it jumps (start/stops real fast) but mostly it runs alot. Doesn't stall for long. Like I said I swapped channels and the same pump does this in any channel. My other three pumps do not do this, they remain off for the full 20mins.

What should happen in foodtimer mode is rhythmically, every 20 seconds each pump will turn 1/2-4 turns, this will be imperceptible on some pumps as it will just be a twitch rather than an actual turn (1/2 turn). It sounds like it is more random and chaotic? If you try another controller cable does it solve the problem? How old is the pump?

I purchased these pumps on 2/13/12. This pumps doesn't spin for 4 turns, after about 30-45secs into the feed pause it starts spinning and hesitating briefly but the hesitation is very random. I tried swapping cables , different channel and nothing changes. Its running like it is in the program mode only skipping briefly.

OK, sounds like something is wrong with the motor, send me that pump and we will replace the motor.
