Ive had a big pearl bubble coral for over 2 weeks now and it was doing awsome for awhile, as of late the upper half of the bubbles havent really been coming out. I have it high up in the tank, is it possible its gettign too much light? the coral is about 10 inches directly under a 150 mh and there is another 150 mh about a foot away. Ive also been useing some az no3 to get my nitrates down alittle, so i dont know if that could hae an impack on the bubble, but all the other corals are doing fine?

any ideas would be great thanks in advance

bubbles can handle strong light eventually but I have noticed that they especially need to be aclimated slowly to it. I would try giving it a shadier spot. good luck :)

Ive also noticed that the bubbles I have seen at the LFS do better at the bottom of the tank......were the light is less intense.....

The first coral I ever bought was a bubble coral 24 years ago and I still have it.

They do seem to like lower light and low flow.
I never feed mine but some people do. It prolly gets some fish food.

Watch out for the long sweeper tentacles at night. Mine has about a foot long ones and will sting any coral near it.
I used to get mad and cut them off with a scissors when I had it in my 55 lol.
