problem with EuroReef RS 80

Yesterday the skimmer started producing a ton of bubbles in the sump and I also notice that the water was flowing out, over the top of the output tube. The skimmer has been running fine for at least a year. Any idea why this suddenly has happened and what I can do to correct it.

If your water level is staying consistant, check your air intake valve and the place where air goes into the venturi. These both will get clogged over time.

check the pinwheel or mesh wheel too. Ive had mini snails get wedged inside some of the pins and cause my skimmer to draw less air than normal and cause overflowing.

Mine would do the same thing. It was always the venturi getting clogged. Bamboo skewers work great for unclogging.

I tried pouring some warm water in the air line but it didn't seem to make a difference. I will take the line out and check it.
