Problem with Power Compacts

One of my fixtures went out the other night (it was a PC retrofit kit from AH Supply). I ruled out that it wasn't the bulbs. How can I tell if it's the ballast?

What else could possibly have caused the failure? How do I troubleshoot (remember I'm totally mechanically and electically inept).

Thanks in advance.

Since you have more than one fixture, you can switch the lamps to see if its the lamp or ballast.

Not much to that light fixture. Ballast, lamps, and wires
If you're sure the lamps are fine, replace the ballast
Wires dont go bad unless they been severed, which usually doesn't happen but when you take it apart, just take a quick look.
From what I remember, they use Workhorse ballast so you can search for them online

Lonnie.....also check the sockets..sometimes salt creep gets in there (even with the rubber boots) and rusts up the contacts. I had to replace a socket or two over the years.

square pin or straight pin lonnie?

i have two work horse ballast you can have i am never going back to pc's. they are square pin but we can wire in the straights if that is what you are using.

sound like dinner next week? call brad...

well we can wire in your old endcaps with my ballast. they both work last time i checked. see what we can do if you are avaible this weekend.
