Hey there,
I have a jbj 45 and am having problems cleaning up the water. Parameters are great. NH3 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10ppm and pH 8.2, salinity 1.025. I am running a single sicce 580 gph pump, 2 hydor nano power heads, stock media basket with floss, bio rock and carbon and a tunze 9004. Ive posted a pic below. What can I do to clean the water up.

Picture isn't showing (yet?..may be this sites goofy filter)

Is it just cloudy from sand? did you rinse your sand?
Is the tank new?

or maybe a bacterial bloom?

In general just give it time.. "cloudy" water from sand or bacteria should clear up in about a week or less usually..

I'll wait for the pic to comment further..

here is the pic

So what are you saying?

I'm saying I don't see a problem..
Some slight haze is pretty normal in a new tank..

From here I don't really see anything though other than that and possibly some small particulate matter.. But thats a guess from here..

Your filter should remove that and if you are still breaking in that skimmer it could certainly be some microbubbles from that too..

I just don't see a real problem from here that requires any action at this time..

Tank looks new.. Give it some time
