Problems trying to update to new 4.3 software

I keep getting the error "unable to unlock device", it appears to connect so I assume the login is correct. I am using a MAC because on my PC it wanted me to create some kind of a AGR? can't remember exactly but I don't know what that is.

I have previously performed updates with my PC with no issues. I guess the new software is different.
 
try this

...Flashing orange light means either your firmware and/or current configuration may have been corrupted. I would attempt to reflash the firmware to the unit in boot loader mode. A hardwired connection between computer to router and router to Apex is required. Follow this procedure:

Power your Apex off
Restart your computer in Windows safe mode with networking
Turn off any virus or firewall software
Open flash utility
In the Network address put something similar to your default gateway (router) IP address
For example, if you default gateway is 192.168.1.1 then make the network address 192.168.1.88
Click update firmware
After failed attempt 1 plug your Apex in
Apex and computer should make a handshake at this time, if not try to power cycle your base unit again
Update the web pages after the firmware update...
 
Will this work on the Mac also? My PC is from work and I can not disable the virus software. My Mac is my home PC and is hard connected to the same router as my apex. Previously when doing this with my PC I connected it to the router and all was well.
 
I re initialized the base unit to defaults then it loaded fine. Of course I had to rebuild all my programs but it gave me a chance to replace the internal battery and clean up the programming a bit.
