I tried the FWD this AM. I'll see how the clam does. Here's some images of the clam...
This is when I first got it at the meeting at The Reef Chief...
It's a beauty, there.
But here it is today, shortly after the FWD...
And here's a side shot to try and get a better peak at the mantle...
As you can tell, he's not doing so well. I still need to get a clamshell to put him on. But he doesn't seem interested in attaching to anything anyway. I know he belongs on the substrate, and that my PC lighting should be OK. But I am sure tempted to put him in a basket or something at the top of my rock!
What do you think?

BTW he is responding to light changes by closing sometimes. And sometimes, not.
im only posting this because I see a lot of people wanting/doing FWD's on clams.A FWD is only a last resort for a clam that has some type of parasite/iratent,and most of the time it is only a short term salution.FWD's are very stressful for clams and can/will kill them.
