Just scanning through the threads and saw that this one was dug back up. I'm the guy who started this thread. I forgot to update after maintenance finished the job. Everything is fine now with my faucet. I have my RO/DI unit hooked back up to it and so far no leaks after making around 50 gallons of water since it was fixed. Maintenance basically came in and rebuilt the faucet, replacing the seal at the base of the faucet and replacing both the hot and cold valve stems (the things the knobs are connected to). I don't know if replacing the stems was completely necessary, but he said screw it, we'll rebuild the whole thing just to be safe. I never told them how it started leaking and they didn't ask. So anyway, so far so good, but I still keep a constant eye on it when making water. I'd still recommend that if you live in an apartment and have washer and dryer hook-ups (I don't) use the washer connection instead of the sink.
